the elder son

luke 15:11-32

in this parable, the emphasis has always been on the younger wayward son returning to his father after making merry with the world & squandering his fair share of the property..

on hindsight, consider the elder son. 
the one who laboured all day without a word of complaint but with a begrudging heart

were you the prim & proper one that did your job without complaining?
were there times that you felt mildly unsatisfied or jealous?
were you harbouring thoughts on why that particular person got something you hadnt?

perchance, it was time we look at the elder son.
