rather insane for me lately. the people closest to me are going through supposedly what is the hardest time of their life, the process of losing a loved one & those who have recently lost a loved one.
had news of an ex-colleague recently being warded and diagnosed with a unique strain of pneumonia, that's unknown and the docs have no clue which strain it was & the type of medicine to administer. the doc called for the next-of-kin to be present. another friend of mine is close to losing her hubby (of 4 years) to a grade 2 inoperable brain tumour, one that is uncommon, one that cant be operated on and watching them live out their days with such hope, faith in God despite all the uncertainties reminds me of the brevity of life.
the lost of a loved one? i guess i'll never know what it feels like, only because i haven been through that phase yet. i am writing this to remind myself, no... no... to not forget to always live life... in the here and now... to always be thankful/appreciative of the people around me... to know that when the day comes that i have to lose the people closest to me, lord that i will never lose you.
p/s: the picture above was taken outside church of the notre dame in morningside drive. i want to live life simply and to grow old gracefully like this woman did.
