on listening

i sit here in my room thinking about the times that i've actually availed myself to listening and waiting on Him amidst the craziness of life, and most, if not all of the time, He gets really direct w me if i let Him be...

are we hearing but not listening?

dear shepherd, thank you for calling us your own... we know you are speaking to us daily, help us to recognise your voice in the midst of all the 'noise' that we are subjected to... holy spirit, make us sensitive to your promptings... speak lord, thy sheep is listening...
