recently, i've been droppin by borders during my lunch time and readin tons n tons of books, devotionals, excerpt from the bible and yea... photography books ;)
i love books and think skippin lunch sometimes to read is so worth it, esp that i dont get much time to read with classes comin full on and wkends are mostly spend with amp ppl & fam...
normal routine: plug in my ipod, set it to a fav playlist, get a couple of good reads and settle snugly in the armchair and read away...ok i snooze a lil after reading as well...everybody needs a lil shuteye yea!
there's this particular book that caught my fancy. a book on simple prayer by joyce meyer. i've read a couple of books on prayer and by far, i really agree on whats shes been saying..that prayer should and is simple and that the evil one keeps complicating things and telling us theres a certain posture to adopt, longer prayers are better, etc...all the common misconceptions about prayer...i am quarter thru her book and the gist of it is 'pray abt everything and anything'
if your happy, pray
if you are sad, pray
if you are worried abt something, pray
if you have a need, pray
if you dont know what to do, pray
...point is....PRAY!!!
through reflection, i feel that God is trying to ask me to try praying simply for once, not that i always complicate prayers but i love the language that the psalmist uses and the structure and sentences thats written in key verses of the bible..so beautiful! stop beat around the bush, cassie and just prayy!
ok God, if you said it, thou shall attempt to pray simply because u delight in simple prayers and will answer them. amen!
father god, thank u for this day! thank you for speakin to me countless times and for revealin to me things that i've been facin daily but just never opened my eyes to them. your love brings me to tears literally, when i think of how u sent Jesus to take our place, nothing is more precious than that! help me to love u more, in small ways and big! help me know u more, in jesus name i pray, amen!
